Well this mornings class certainly killed me, let’s hope it makes me stronger!
Today’s class was with an instructor I haven’t had before as she recently had a baby. Not that you could tell she recently had a baby, she looks seriously amazing. It was a sequence that went:-
400 m row or run
15 Kettlebell swings then 15 v-ups
15 overhead push press then 15 push ups
Each section had to be completed in 2 minutes. If you finished within the 2 minutes you could catch your breath. I didn’t have many chances to catch my breath! Then the whole thing started all over again, and again, and again.
I was ridiculously embarrassing weak today, like worse than usual. I couldn’t even do the push ups on my knees and had to the last couple of rounds against a wall! Don’t get me wrong I’m not exactly normally She Ra but I can usually do push ups on my bloody knees. Wonder if it’s because my period is due today? Do such things affect strength or am I simply having a wobbly day? On the plus side although my push presses were just a bar without weights I’m starting to feel confident with the technique which is hopefully half the battle!
Anyway I went, and did my best. Now it’s just about time to collect my daughter from school. She’s only in half days at the moment while she recovers from cancer.
